Update on 2018 Schedule

As of today, I have our boys registered for eight tournaments next summer.

Recently I decided to back us out of a tournament scheduled for the first weekend in June in Indianapolis. The main reason for the decision includes the anticipation of the end of our high school season. I’ve decided instead to enter us in an Ironmen Invitational the same weekend (6/1-6/3) hosted at Bellarmine.

In addition, we had a couple remaining open dates in mid June and early July to fill. I anticipated tournaments being hosted and these tournaments were either cancelled, changed venues or changed dates that wouldn’t fit with our schedule.

Below is a link that will take you to our updated schedule. Please note the two new tournaments that have been added on 6/14 and 7/5. A link to the team hotel is included on the schedule for these new tournaments. Each has its own block expiration date you should note.

I’m very pleased with this schedule. The mixture of regional locations and validity/credibility of the tournaments is very suitable for our team. I encourage you to click the links for each tournament and explore the details. In the coming months, the pages will be updated with attending teams and other notes.

Specifically, the Perfect Game BCS Championship and Prospect Wire Music City Classic are highly attended events by regional and national college recruiters. These by far will be the biggest and most challenging tournaments of the summer.

We plan to invite several regional college recruiters to our Ironmen Invitational at Bellarmine. Typically we draw coaches from schools like Bellarmine, USI, IU, Evansville, and UL to our local invitationals, as well as others. This will be a great time for our guys to showcase their skills as they’re coming off their high school season.

In between the Ironmen Invitational, PG National Championship and Music City Classic are several Pastime Tournaments. I think the Pastime Tournaments serve as great tournaments for our team to hone skills, master baseball fundamentals, strengthen team chemistry, and prepare ourselves physically and mentally for the larger scale tournaments we’re scheduled to play. I have no doubt we will be challenged in every game at the Pastime tournaments.

PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS about travel, hotels, dates, cost, practices, etc...anyhing at all! Please know I appreciate the commitment of our players and their families during this season. Merry Christmas!
